Starbuzz Citrus Mist

Set-up:
Khalil Mamoon Tri-Metal
Egyptian clay bowl
NuHose/Fancy Hose
3 Coconaras

Smoke:
Just like almost all Starbuzz shisha, Citrus Mist delivers you clouds of smoke. Within seconds of putting the coals on, the shisha was lit and smoking optimally.

Taste/Flavor:

With this particular flavor, it has a very orange-y taste to it. It is definitely not and overpowering taste like some other citrus fruit flavors. There is not any other flavors that we could taste besides a tiny bit of the lime taste you get with any citrus flavor. We enjoyed this flavor very much.

Cut of the shisha/Juiciness:
The cut of the shisha itself was similar to all other Starbuzz shisha. Normally just very juicy shredded tobacco leaves that are very easy to pack and pick apart.

Smoke-span:
We decided to use the usual Egyptian clay bowl that comes with most hookahs instead of the Phunnel bowl we typically use. With this shisha, the bowl lasted a good hour, if not a little longer, with our coconaras. The taste remained consistent through out the whole session, which is always a big plus.

Smell:
Upon opening the tin, we noticed the strong aroma of orange and lime. The tin itself pictures blueberries and lemon as well, but it is not pungent enough to actually smell from the shisha.

Wrap-Up:
All in all, this is one of our top Starbuzz flavors. It is a very subtle flavor that does not become overpowering or repetitive. We would definitely recommend this flavor to those who like simple tasting shisha. Without a doubt, at least a 8/10 smoke.

Tangiers Bubble Gum

Set-up:
Mya Astra base with custom brass stem*
Nammor hose
Alien Mini-Phunnel
2 Coco-Naras (to start off)

*Mya Astra hookahs come with an aluminum stem but we used a custom brass stem

Smoke:
Thick clouds as per usual with all the Tangiers lines. Smoke is really thick and it emits all the flavor that it gives in.

**Taste/Flavor:
The taste is very fruitful. For a bubble gum flavor, we got a hint of the bubble gum and it was mixed with blueberries for the most part.

**Smell:
After we acclimated the shisha, it smelled strongly like bubblegum. It was like opening a new pack of gum. The smell is delicious and the flavor really stays true to the smell as well.

**Cut of the shisha/Juiciness:
Tangiers cut is very juicy. The shisha itself looks black (dont worry if you think it looks burnt because its not!) and it has its own essence of blueberries and bubble gum.

Smoke-span:
The smoke span is magnificent. We used an Alien Mini-Phunnel and the smoke lasted us a good 3-4 natural coals (Rotating them around the bowl evenly). The shisha started to taste harsh after we placed a 5th coal but that was only because the bowl was done.

Wrap-Up:
Tangiers is a tried and true company that time and time again proves itself with the nice flavorful shisha that it produces. We were very satisfied with the smoke, taste, and the overall experience that Tangiers delivers. As far as a recommendation is concerned, I would say that this is not something for the casual smoker. Tangiers is a strong shisha with a higher tobacco content than that of Starbuzz or Al-Fakher and etc. With that being said, if you do enjoy shisha and want to try something new and possibly get a bit of a buzz going, definitely check Tangiers out because this is the shisha for you. I would definitely recommend this shisha and especially this flavor.

** The results may vary based on how well you acclamate the shisha. If you need help on how to acclamate your shisha, please check the videos on Youtube for acclamation.

Zero non-tobacco Mixed Berry

Set-up:
Khalil Mamoon Tri-Metal
Phunnel bowl
NuHose/Fancy Hose
3 Coconaras

Smoke:
Right off the bat, the clouds are not very thick with this shisha. We can say that we did anticipate this because it is a non-tobacco shisha and typically the tobacco-less shishas have less smoke thickness than the tobacco shishas. With all of this being said, the clouds are thick enough to blow O's and do other neat tricks.

Taste/Flavor:
The shisha stays true to the flavor that it advertises which is mixed berry. After we got the bowl going, the taste of berries came pouring in. Anthony is not too fond of the berry flavors in general but he did enjoy this flavor because it was very fruitful. The berries taste like a medley of strawberry, raspberry, and a slight hint of blueberry. The strawberry however is the main flavor that we tasted when we smoked this shisha. Taste-wise, the shisha stays true to what it advertises and we definitely taste the mixture of berries in this shisha.

Cut of the shisha/Juiciness:
The cut of the shisha itself was very interesting. The shisha looks like little raspberries and we were intrigued by the way this shisha was cut because usually a fruity flavor would be overly juicy and be leaking but this shisha looked very intact and there was not TOO much juice. It was just right. As far as the cut of it is concerned, you should know that it may be very attached and when you pack the bowl, you might want to piece it apart a little bit so that you don't over or underpack.

Smoke-span:
The smoke took us a while to get it going but once we applied enough heat, we were getting decent clouds. The span of how long this shisha lasted was pretty average. It did not get burnt too fast and there was just enough juice in the shisha that it lasted us a good 5/6 coconaras (rotating it around the bowl evenly) and by the end of the bowl the taste didn't get harsh the smoke just died out along with the flavor.

Smell:
Upon opening the tin, we noticed the strong aroma of berries. The berry smell is very prominent in the shisha and this is a good thing because the only other company that makes shisha that smells what it advertises is Al-Fakher.

Wrap-Up:
In conclusion, this shisha is definitely strong on flavor. Though, you may not be getting as much smoke as one would hope for, you will be getting a strong taste of berries.

Al-Fakher Non-Tobacco Strawberry

Set-up:
Khalil Mamoon Tri-Metal
Phunnel bowl
NuHose/Fancy Hose
3 Coconaras

Smoke:
After lighting our bowl we noticed that the flavor starts up right away. After a good, deep, 2 or 3 pulls the shisha was producing nice big clouds. The smoke is surprisingly thick which is something you usually don’t see in non-tobacco/herbal shisha. We would argue that the amount of smoke is comparable to that of Starbuzz shisha.

Taste/Flavor:
Despite being strawberry flavored, it has a strong taste of the mixed cocktail shisha that Al-Fakher also produces. In the beginning, we expected this to have just a strawberry flavor, but we were surprised that it had more of a medley of fruit flavors rather than a solely strawberry flavor.

Cut of the shisha/Juiciness:
After opening the box and cracking open the seal, you can definitely tell that this is a non-tobacco shisha. By that, we mean that the shisha consists of (what looks like) herbal ingredients that are mixed with flavored molasses. It definitely is not as juicy as the tobacco line of Al-Fakher but it does have enough juices in it to so that it retains the flavor/taste.

Smoke-span:
We had our bowl going for a good hour until our coals ran out and until the coals were about halfway to two-thirds done, the flavor was still retaining all of its taste and producing thick clouds. We did not need to rotate the coals until they were done because the shisha did not get harsh. This is a good thing that exists amongst the non-tobacco flavors because they don’t get burnt to the point where it starts hurting your throat.

Smell:
Upon opening the package, we noticed that there was a familiar smell of Cocktail, another flavor that Al-Fakher produces. I cannot say that it smelled like Strawberry, but it definitely smelled fruitful.

Wrap-Up:
Overall, we were satisfied after smoking this flavor. While the non-tobacco products do not give you any kind of a buzz, they still retain a lot of the flavor and smoke compared to shisha with tobacco. This is definitely a flavor AND product that we would recommend to everyone. If you are looking for a nice relaxing evening but are worried about the harmful effects of tobacco, this is definitely the product for you. On the flipside, if you are a regular shisha smoker and you want to expand your horizons to a new flavor, this is also the flavor for you. Al-Fakher has not disappointed us with this new line of non-tobacco molasses because they have done what they are famous for – making tasty and fruitful shisha. We would give this a solid 8/10  for amazing smoke, fruitful flavor, and an enjoyable long-lasting smoke session.
